These newly rated Cat C32 generator sets provide higher power density for standby and mission-critical power applications. They significantly reduce costs through reduced footprint and weight.

The gensets feature a smaller footprint and up to 44 percent more power density than competitive power solutions on the market today.

1750 EKW – CAT 3512C

Rated at 1,750 ekW for 60 Hz standby applications, the Cat 3512C generator set offers reliable backup power from an optimally sized engine and a reduced overall footprint that delivers lower overall site preparation, transportation, installation and maintenance costs, reduced fuel consumption, and lower emissions.

  • Competitive 151.56 square foot footprint saves up to 13 percent of installed space compared with competing gensets at the same rating.
  • Meets the NFPA power restoration requirement for Level 1 systems and accepts 100 percent block load in one step.
  • Meets ISO 8528-5 G3 requirements for steady state and load acceptance and can be configured to meet U.S. EPA Emergency Regulations.
  • Can be equipped with a low- or high-voltage frame alternator for quick load acceptance through exceptional motor starting capabilities to minimize oversizing the genset due to motor starting requirements.
  • Uses the field-proven Cat ADEM™ A3 ECM, which integrates ignition, governing, air-fuel ratio control, and engine protection.

Power ratings for Cat 3516C diesel generator sets will help customers in Western Europe and other global markets specify solutions that meet power needs and emissions targets with more precision.

Low-NOx, 50-Hz power ratings of 2,250 kVA, 2,500 kVA and 2,750 kVA have been designed for use in regulated emissions environments and applications. Two additional 50 Hz ratings of 3,000 kVA and 3125 kVA with certification to U.S. EPA Tier 2 emissions regulations are also available. These gensets supply reliable backup power from an optimally sized engine that enables lower costs for transportation, installation, maintenance, and ancillary enclosures.

2750 EKW – CAT 3516E

The newly rated Cat 3516E offers reliable backup power from a footprint of 220.8 square feet – saving up to 12 percent installed space compared with competing gensets of similar ratings. Certified to U.S. EPA Stationary Emergency Regulations, this reliable package is the result of the ongoing refinement of the Cat 3500 Series engine, which has demonstrated its performance and durability in hundreds of thousands of installations around the world.

The Cat 3516E can be equipped with a low- or high-voltage alternator, and utilizes the field-proven Cat ADEM A5 engine control module (ECM), which integrates all engine functions including ignition, governing, air-fuel ratio control, and engine protection.
