EMISSIONS SOLUTIONS REGULATORY ALERT
Earlier in 2011, The state of New Jersey, working with the governor’s office and Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and Department of Transportation (DOT) released an Executive Order that will attempt to retrofit 175 pieces of construction equipment in the next three years. A pilot NonRoad Retrofit program will be conducted with the goal of improving air quality and particulate matter in urban construction areas throughout the state.
The retrofits will be funded by $2.5M in NJDEP grants from state and federal air quality mitigation funds.
