One Safe Solution
Foley Inc. has a One Safe Solution for all types of school buses, regardless of engine or bus manufacture to retrofit a Closed Crankcase Ventilation System, Diesel Oxidation Catalysts, or Diesel Particulate Filters. Foley can install these devices to minimize the downtime of each bus so you can comply with the state requirements.
Closed Crankcase Ventilation Systems (CCVS)
The State of NJ will require all school buses by 2009 to be retrofitted with Closed Crankcase Ventilation Systems and the State of NJ will subsidize the cost of parts and installation of the CCVS on all school buses. This technology will improve the air quality inside the school bus by reducing the exposure of children to the harmful affects of diesel particulate matter emissions.
Diesel Oxidation Catalysts (DOC)
Diesel Oxidation Catalysts help school bus owners lower emissions on all buses equipped with any brand of diesel engine. This technology replaces the standard muffler and removes some particulate matter, carbon monoxide, and hydrocarbons from exhaust gas.
Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF)
Diesel Particulate Filters are a more effective in reducing particulate matter emissions. They typically remove 90 percent of fine particulate matter from engine exhaust gas and significantly reduce hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide.
