Machinery Service Shop Manager – Piscataway, NJ

Department: Machinery Service

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Shop Supervisors on all aspects of the daily shop operations including the repair process and personnel.
• Assist in the preparation of and review quotes for Construction customers.
• Work with Safety Manager
• Review bays, equipment assigned to bays and the cost centers assigned to bays.
• Ensure the annual reviews are completed on time
• Review and monitor daily reports
• Review expenses and capital budget items and monitor equipment repair costs.
• Assist mechanics and customers in retrieving service information
• Assist customers at the counter and direct them to the correct person or handle the situation
• Interview potential employees, mechanical, clerical, service orientated.

Recommended Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 15 years experience in the heavy equipment industry with progressive maintenance/repair supervisory experience and/or equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; both verbal and written.
• Experience with DBSi/AS400, Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and other position related software.
